boots n skis

hi looking for as much advice as possible on buying new skis and boots . iam at intermediate/advanced level .can anyone recommend a first time buy and at what cost dont want to pay the earth but would like a good make .any suggestions would be a help rather than just taking the advice of the shop . thanks

Go to a big resort in March and buy the end of season demo skis - one season old and usually 10% of normal price (best deals in the US)
