re: boots or not

my friend is an accomplished skiier and reckons getting his own boots was the best thing he ever did. he still doesn't have skis as they're to bulky for him to transport, but recommends getting boots asap. I was a boarder and two people in my group got boots and said they couldn't believe the difference they made - warm, dry and comfy. Reading the comments on here the advice seems to be buy now! Having ill-fitting boots can ruin your skiing.

re: boots or not

Ive just come back from Bovovets, was my second time skiing, I agree its best to have your own boots. I brought my own boots for this trip, best thing i did. You need to have boots that are comfy when skiing all day.

re: boots or not

Hi ya

Well under advice from a good skier I decided to buy my own and I was so glad I did. I was told the front loading boot is better because your toes don't get pushed forward as much and he was totally right! The back loading are not as comfy.

A new boot will mould to your own foot and fit much better than one that's been worn a hundred times by someone else. I paid £100.00 for mine in Boro and I was told that was very good in comparison to here where you can expect £200-300.
