I'm off to Borovets with a group - unfortunately I can't ski due to recent op . Still looking forward to the apres ski but does anyone know what there is to do during the day when everyone is on the piste?!
You can go horse riding (but that depends on your op I suppose). You can go on a snow safari, saw a few people doing that (you can sit down for that!). I found it fun sitting in a bar at the bottom of the slop watching people fall over!! If you are ok to bum board that looks like alaugh. The Samakov and Rila have swimming pools, bowling and sauna.
Horse riding is over by the 4 man chairlift that goes to the top of the green run (bottom of the black run). If you take the road that goes in front of the Rila towards the lift, you'll see the horses on your right. It's great fun riding through 3 feet of snow! And so quiet - it's like being in Narnia! Cost me 20 Lev for an hour - bargain! You can do longer or shorter rides if you want. Have fun!
