Can anyone throw any light on runs at the top of the borovets gondala,how many open ?It sounds like a lot of snow no the top but lifts closed or pistes not bashed ,and recent posts mention local politics involved Sad

well the two Yastrabet runs with snow cannons, are open with brillant conditions, and the very top Markudjic runs are closed but with some more snow tonight and about a good 15cm today - hopefully should be open tomorrow if not wednesday.

Read the Sofia Echo site. The local tourist industry has cut staffing levels by 15% across the industry. Percentages at specific resorts will vary, 15% average though. Even if there is snow at top there might not be enough staff in resort to 'open' and manage the thus far closed lifts.

Yeah all but 1 of the Markudjic slopes are open, including lifts - except Markudjic 3 which the drag lift up to it looks derelict and out dated, maybe the reason for it being closed
