Bulgaria Ski discussion board

back from boro on sunday, stayed at the samakov and were quite happy with it ,food ok ,room cleaned daily,hot water on tap( sorry), rooms boiling.
the hotel its self has loads to do inc pool tables,bowling,shooting( targets),internet ,pool ,sauna.
conditions great when we got there and got worse as week went on due to freezing temps but i still managed to board down without hitting too many icy spots but imo
could do with some more snow.
prossie watch proved unsuccessful all week as did i spy a fighting guy.
not really happy with the tour company( balkan hols lon)
as dint see rep and the flight meals and planes were dire
all in all a good week.
oh yeah i recomend mamacitas restruant good entertainment and great food and beer and as the pr said out side,cheap as chips dont make mistake!

I left on sunday and the snow got really worse. We finished upset with skiing in such conditions.
Better buy passes and rent the equipment on a daily basis as no snow is forecast for the whole next week and you may end up not skiing.

Avoid the restaurants close to lifts (as they are usually bad and expensive) and most of all avoid the cafe up the mountain (Mussala) : a bad tea in a filthy place with bad service cost 3 lv and going to toilets is 1 lv.

Over all all prices have gone up and Bulgaria is not worth as much as in the past (in particular this year with bad snow).
