what are your thoughts on the hotel will be staying there early march. and what are the ski conditons likere: borovets- olymp
I stayed there last year.
I thought the place was fine - but a lot of people complained. Those that complained seemed to fall into the 'whinging brits abroad' category so i'm sure you'll be fine.
The hotel is basic? - yes. smallish rooms? yes but v. clean. miserable staff? probably yes. Food nice? well, the breakfast i thought was excellent - massive choice and it will really set you up for a day on the slopes. The dinner was a little bit suspect. but then thats the same as any ...

hOwever, the hotel is ideally situated as you can ski to and from the hotel door (if you're not afraid to ski down some concrete steps). The hotel has a ski depot which is excellent. it was a cheap holiday and the hotel provided and excellent place to ski from and somewhere comfy and warn to sleep at night. you can't ask for any more than that really.
basically - its a 2 star hotel in bulgaria and it does the job very nicely. if you go expecting the ritz you'll be dissapointed

we stayed at the olymp last year to say its basic is an understatement its a cab back from town always although its quite a nice walk into town in the morningto be fair its adequate if you booked a cheapie, but the ritz it aint the food is not great we ate there on the first night only and took the wise option of eating out after that. but in this life you get what you pay for.
