greetins all,
ive just booked a large group of friends on their first winter hoilday to borovets and will be staying at the lion hotel. i chose borovets because ive been a couple of times over the last 10 years when it was 'cheap'. the accommodation prices now are pretty similar to some of the cheaper resorts across europe but im wondering if its still reasonable to eat out etc. the last time i was there the price of a large beer was roughly 50p, i know this wont be the case now, im just ...
greetins all,
ive just booked a large group of friends on their first winter hoilday to borovets and will be staying at the lion hotel. i chose borovets because ive been a couple of times over the last 10 years when it was 'cheap'. the accommodation prices now are pretty similar to some of the cheaper resorts across europe but im wondering if its still reasonable to eat out etc. the last time i was there the price of a large beer was roughly 50p, i know this wont be the case now, im just hoping that the £8 pint pricing system hasnt reached bulgaria yet as some of the group are on a budget.
any info on the lion hotel and the price of eating out would be appreciated.
Last year a large beer was around 4lv-5lv, which at the time was £2-£2.50/// A pizza in resort about 12lv-18lv depending on toppings etc, so £6-£9.
Its not as cheap as it was a few years ago, but its still about half the price of some resorts in te Eurozone, where a coke up the mountain is £6, in Borovets its will be about £3 for a 500ml bottle at the top of the mountain.
As above, beer 5-6 lev. Bottled Zagorka much nicer than the p!ss out of the pumps, but not all sell it.
Food is MUCH cheaper in nearby Samakov so worth a taxi fare if there's a group of you.
Lion Hotel is a little out of the resort, so not best placed.
