borovets demolition

last season they started pulling down some of the buildings down the main strip in borovets,, there was also talk of many buildings down the hill towards villapark being pulled down as well. whats the update with this, what was pulled down and has what are the plans to replace them?

I was in Boro last week-end and there was a lot of work going on in the main (only one) street. They are refitting most of the shops for this winter season.

They were going to pull down a number of buildings and build a large 5 star complex / hotel in the middle 'triangle' as although most of the buildings are owned by individuals, the land is owned by the municipality. The lease holders managed to do another deal with the municipality and re-signed their contracts so all the restaurants / buildings are staying - for this season at least.

Same as last season then.. we saw one of the notices to vacate in the summer, but it all seemed to late in the year, so at least common sense prevailed...
