re: borovets ice rink??

Why don't you take her to a dry slope. If she gets confident with an english instructor here she may enjoy skiing or boarding in BG.

re: borovets ice rink??

she enjoyed ski-ing but not with the instructor - the instructor lost her up on the slopes when she fell and hurt herself and the instrucot had, for what to her seemed quite along time and she got shouted at by some passing people (she was 9then)
she was happy after going up the drag lift in front of the rila and ski-ing down etc but she doesnt want an instructor this time and only wants to ski if she herself wants to and as its her holiday too iv said ok, she wanted ...

she has said she might ski but might not and il not force her, shes a happy child and likes doing her own thing quietly and wants to build a snowman as she has never got to build one here in wiltshire yet...
we'll see she made friends with my boarding instructor and she has spoken to him via email a few times and he has offered to take her boarding if shed like to try and she quite liked that idea - he helped her confidence after she had her scare

re: borovets ice rink??

Gosh that sounds a bad enough experience for an adult let alone a child. Reading posts on this board last season it does seem to be a bit hit and miss whether you get a good instructor or not. I was in Bansko in Feb but didn't use ski school. Saw people on the slopes and in the mountain restaurants with their instructors and everyone seemed happy. Luck of the draw I suppose. I learnt on a dry slope here and have never used ski school in any resort. I keep toying with the idea of having a one ...

I keep toying with the idea of having a one to one lesson to improve my technique but always seem to blunder around the slopes on my own. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

or could he go down and get anyone, the children with him spoke to her to and she walked down with them and he carried her skis so she could go on if she wanted and after a while they met her instructor comeing back looking for her.
so huge thanks to that man -i never got to meet him to say thank you.
what got me is after the lesson picking her up the lady (insructor) said nothing to me about her having been lost or getting scared - think my daughter was abit worried about saying to me that shed "gone off" with a stranger though
