borovets night skiing

After many many trips to borovets last night did the night skiing. Piste bashed nicely we left it till 1900 and had a most amazing ski. Went faster than ever before. Then had a blast down all the unlit runs which due to the constant show was boot deep powder... Happy days or nights in this case.
Being a bit of a drinker getting a pm pass and a night pass for the same cash makes me winder why i havent done this more often

Another vote for buying the night pass here.

For 22lev I think its quite good value (I guess you could argue that it should be included in the price of the 6 day pass) - freshly groomed empty runs

Will definately be doing a couple of times next time we go...

Hoping to go tonight. I prolly wear my head cam, so if you see a teletubby say hello!

re: borovets night skiing

Did it. Nice and empty runs but much harder surface than I was expecting but then again it was starting to ice up. Therein lies the problem.... I had one little slip on run 2 which seemed no problem at the time but actually twisted my back to the point but by the time I was finishing run 3 meant I could only side slip down the bottom of the piste.

Painful night - hardly able to stand up. I've not skiied today, been x-rayed in the Samokov prison (hospital) and certified as fit to ski ...

Painful night - hardly able to stand up. I've not skiied today, been x-rayed in the Samokov prison (hospital) and certified as fit to ski but I need more pain killers than a pharmacy warehouse as well as a granddad back brace.

Did I enjoy it - 7/10 before the slip. But not worth it in the long run for me as conditions today were superb and I couldn't ski.

Went ski-dooing though and will hopefully ski tomorrow.

re: borovets night skiing

We tried the night ski on the boards last night for the experience! It was nice and empty but a bit icy!
I didn't realise we would be the only beginners/intermediates on the slope though as ALL the skiiers seemed to be taking a racing stance and racing line down the slope! Where as a few late nights for me and a seriously sore coccyx left me taking my time- as i didnt want to make it any worse on the ice! Just made me feel in the way a bit though! I'm certain 2 skiiers didn't see me untill the very last second as well! Was a bit hairy! So overall a good experience but would wait untill i felt i could carry lots of speed all the way down before doing it again!
