borovets now ?

has anyone been to the top in borovets in the last few days, is there much snow up there please?

I've been to the top of the gondala yesterday and there was heaps of snow BUT today was a different story, temperatures rose and the gondala closed, with pretty much everything unskiable. It's not cold enough for snow cannons either. I was talking to some people at the rila and apparantly it won't snow again for another week. I've had 3 days good skiing which was lucky.

I'll update on conditions tomorrow!!

It was definitely snowing at the top today - around 12ish or so BG time, some of the operators were up there on skidoos and reported back...although they did say the sun was trying to burn through and didn't know how long it would last. Gondola was actually shut due to winds, not snow but as before, with the sun burning through and temps increasing, it won't have helped!

thanks guys, so there is hope for the top if they can open the gondola, soooooo, would you have any idea roughly how strong the wind has to be before they cant use it, im thinking of coming from sofia on saturday but the forecast is 30 km/h winds, which is about the same as friday (tomo) so if they run tomo they will probably run on saturday, if you can please will you post tomo if the gondola runs ? thank you so much ))))
