I’ve been to Borovets twice before once at half term and also last Easter. I have never seen a queue like that before even at half term when the resort was full.
The only time there was a large queue was at the gondola first thing in the morning when you could queue for over an hour
Just got back this morning and this was definately not the case.
One run on Yastrabets was closed due to a race so everyone was on the other run which was very busy those two days but apart from that we practically walked on to every chair lift.
The drags near the rila were very busy due to the fact that the top area of the gondola is mostly closed so there is no real other places for the beginers to go.
Apart from that we had a great week, snow conditions were not perfect but we ...

Seen it like that once or twice before, but always during a local holiday, I think I'm right in saying that you can get a day pass just for that lift so even if it's rammed there it should be quieter at other areas.
I am at Borovets now and i must say the blue slopes - Rila and Iglika were very busy including the two drag lifts and the Rila 4 man chair, which has broken down today. It is busiest on sundays because the locals and people from Sofia have the day off work and come up for the day!
