Steve, you don't need to apologise. It's just sad and frustrating when people save up and look forward to their holiday anywhere in the world, then it doesn't live up to expectations or things go wrong.
The way snow conditions seem to be across Europe the last few years, the way forward seems to be to book last minute for skiing trips and only book holidays in advance.
I'd agree with you there borogirl and i think that'll be the way forward for me,keep an eye on conditions and book late. I had done a bit of reaeacrh before i went and i didnt think, possibly naively, that the snow wud be a problem in march, but as we know, noone can control that. I have heard more positive feedback from people who visited bansko but just thought boro looked better having two ski aras to spread out the crowd, didnt hear any bad comments about queing for gondola, better ...

I have heard more positive feedback from people who visited bansko but just thought boro looked better having two ski aras to spread out the crowd, didnt hear any bad comments about queing for gondola, better nightlife and we stayed in the rila also which meant i could ski into the lobby. I am over my dissapointment and cant wait to hit the sopes again next year
neither did i, mind you it would have been fun. i think it was more a figure of speach to describe how close the hotel is to the slopes.in a todoggon u say..ha ha.it'd be even cooler than on skis
i think anyone would have had to see the funny side.
it snowed on my last night there and this then turned into a massive snow fight, everyone involved, kids parents (except the locals) and i have to say it was the highlight of my week, it was so much fun, snowballing mayhem
I've been going years and have come to the conclusion that my humour doesn't always 'translates' well. I've often see locals looking at me funny I usually get them laughing though when I make them ski with me
Borogirl and Fraser
....Boro and Bansko fared better than some other places in Europe in the 2006/2007 season and started this season well....NOT CORRECT unless you compare B and B with some very low resorts in EU only.
....january this year in Boro was some of the best snow..for BG yes... then the hot weather affected most of Europe, it wasnt only Bulgaria that had poor snow over that time.....NOT CORRECT REALLY.
Feb in EU was Fab not the best snow conditions but good.going into March ...

Feb in EU was Fab not the best snow conditions but good.going into March the same : Alps got dumps of snow and even right now everywhere is white deep and skiable down to bases.
Please, we all know by now -dont be ecomonical,a little restrained with the truth and choosy with the facts to suit you business plans right there in BG.
I know times are tough but let's advertise the real picture in Bulgaria if you want this forum to keep on going as a good reference guide not as a missleading one.
