borovets snowfall ??

borovets snowfall ??

Hey guys, is it me being an old worry guts or is the snow a little late this year, sorry to be a bore and bring the old subject up but im sure there was some snowfall in borovets in late nov last year even if it was only a dusting.

Iv just been looking on banskoski.com
And one of their webcams is showing snow at the minute, dont know if its from the cannons or not?

I can see snow under the trees on the short red down to Shiligarnika, must be a cannon as there is no snow on the mountain tops...
There has been massive erosion in this area after the spring thaw and the unseasonal rains, a lot of work has been required to establish the runs for the new season, i know because i was there in June and witnissed the damage that the mud slides had caused, ironically the red i noted ...

yeah i can see what you mean, and i can see the snow around the trees that you mention as well.
I cant wait to go, never been before and its my first time skiing so im online every day keeping an eye on the cams in anticipation!! the snow i saw before was on the banderishka polyana cam.

Hi Lee...
To give you some idea as to where the cams are...
Cam 1 --- Top of gondolar from Bansko
Cam 2 --- Top of mountain (highest chair)(2560m)
note temp !!
Cam 3 --- Shiligarnika middle station
Cam 4 --- base of two button lifts at bottom of blue 11
off Todorka

ahhh i see, i didnt know where they were, thanks.
I suppose the conclusion here that the snow cannon has been on, links with the thread yesterday asking if one had been sighted "on"!!! Question

I was in Bansko 6th dec last season and there was half a metre at the top of the gondolar, all from the surrounding cannons, the link road between Shiligarnika and Bunderiska was impassable by car !!!
Yep, i would say they have started laying a base....
