borovets...half board or sel catering?

from the posts and hotel reviews it seems that the food in hotels on half board stays is very much hit and miss. so....is it better to do self cater and eat out daily?

also...any ideas on good websites to get hotel rates for me and my son, twin room, for a stay in boro from 25/1 to 30/1 inclusive?

Your help is appreciated.

Two others that do good food are: Yanakiev and Ice Angels, which are both directly on the slopes but are more expensive.
