just got back from borovets, and it was white on my departure. Ideally plan yr trip for Feb when snowfall shld be better. But for now becareful to all as not all the slopes are open and i did come across quite a bit of crowding on all remaing slopes i visited. Big queues for open lifts and gondola, so plan yr skiing days early and make the most of yr ski pass, as full price still applies.
If you do not book a package holiday, becareful of the reps who wld skin you alive is they could. ...

Stayed at Flora Apartments, Daisy, brand new, a little compact and not exactly what was stated on their web site. Some little basic things missing due to it being new. Extremely clean, warm and livable. Accommodation for 4 was really for 3 if not 2 to be honest. Livable as you are out most of the day anyway.
Plenty of ski places to book your ski gear and all in walking distance to everywhere if you are staying in the centre.
Recommended restaurants/bars Cathy's (road that leads from samakov to rila) Golden fish - small cosy - good value for money (pass samokov front entrance and walk on) The Blue - my favourite, lovely place to eat and drink and lovely pet kitten (road from rila to Flora). Must mention Golden Horn (exactly next to lifts at rila), good food lovely outside log fire. Must also mentiion the lovely man outside G Horn, kindly guiding ppl in between the lift poles. lovely man. Beware to none smokers as hardly anywhere in Borovets has a designated no smoking area. Overall ppl are very nice and understand english, the ones outside the restaurants, are just maybe a little pushy to get you into their restaurants, but its their living i suppose.
oh yes, skidoo highly recommended, beware of bbq at the end - make it clear when you book that if its not at a cabin in the forest, open fire, bla bla bla, you get a refund. A small tip - pick a skidoo in the front of the pack as the fumes are pretty strong. not recommended for the environmentally friendly.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday, next time id probably book a later date to fit in with more snow.
