just back from borovets very very good holiday hotel lion great, transfer sofia - borovets good, ski school for the girlfriend excellent (a big thankyou to ivan great teacher great bloke and a credit to the boro ski school).feel very lucky that we could ski and board all week but the boarding wasnt good due to no fresh snow but all it needs is one decent dump as conditions at the top of the mountain are ok.bad points the drag lifts at the top of the mountain(not good for boarders)prices seem to have gone up from when i went to bansko last march on the slopes its still cheapish for ski resorts but i feel they must be carefull with this and not to price themselves out of the market.summary good value for money ,reps good crystal,great for families and new ski or boarders

We also have just got back from Boro.
Had the best time, out instructor was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS-Seko was his name, friend for life, he made our holiday.
The wife (who didn't want to go) now wants to cancel our next years holiday to Florida to go back !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was our first ski hol and first of many.
I agree with u eddie on the conditions and I thought food was good value but the drinks could have been cheaper.
We stopped at the Rila, the food was as others had reported, but the hotel was warm, very clean and in a great location, would defo go back.

we have just got back from boro. we had an amazing time and would defo go back. it threw it down with snow on friday and everyone was throwing snow balls and doing bumboarding and oviously sking it was just fantasti!!!. our instructor was aload of rubbish he was new, luckily we didn't book lessons so we just paid for lessons for the first 2 days but all we did was que up for the drag lift while he was talkin on his phone and posin with his sunglasses on he was rubbish but the rest of the week we had a great time, we went on the gondola and went sking at the top of the mountains it was brill and the other couples in our group didn't get chance to go on the gondola because the instructor was always makin them que up for the drag lift every day that was a bit of a bumma for them. we stayed in hotel Rila it was a great location but the food was horrible. this was our first sking holiday aswell and like u said it is the first of many. we would defo go back to boro but would go into a different hotel. I thought it was just fantastic and recomend anyone to go to boro for a sking holiday cause you will have a wounderful time just like we did
