borovets

Hi

as you have all kindly helped me with my questions over the past few weeks i thought it was only fair to report on my holiday in Borovets.

I went to Borovets thinking i would not like it at all after reading many negative comments. I have to say i had a fantastic time and even preferred this skiing holiday to one i had in Austria. We had great snow all week except for the last day. Our skiing instructor Emo and our ski group were great and made our holiday even better.

Eating out etc is stupidly cheap. You can stuff your face and have drinks for less than £10 each. We stayed at the Olymp and although it wasnt the best hotel the beds were clean and comfy.

There are so many bars in the resort and you can chose whether you want a quiet night or a lively night out. We ate at the happy duck on recomendations from here and it was really nice. Hotel food was edible too.

The only downside is that the streets within the resort get very very icy and this was quite dangerous so good shoes are recommended.

The skidoos are also worth a try as is the Bulgarian night.

also a big hello to jason, sally, andy, amy, lucy, paul, kelly, bev, sam, vicky, lee

Jason - we are still laughing about the Bulgarian night!!

re: borovets

when you say good snow 'except for the last day', do you mean that it all melted or that it was beginning to melt?

re: borovets

hi dave

the resort was very wet on the last day. the snow around our hotel was very slushy, but not to worry the rep did say more was expected. some of the lower slopes had become icy but if more snow is expected then it should be ok. the higher ones still had plenty.

Hey Jo - Amy and Andrew here! Just back to Edinburgh and checking out the discussion boards.

Had a fab time, was really fab to meet everyone, we had an excellent time and agree with all your comments above - the bulgarian night was really funny - everyone should go to that one, take Emo with you for value for money!

We'll send you the pick of Steven doing his super ski jump later on.

take care

Hello Jo and Stephen!

Checking out the discussions board too, it's all I've really done - it seems that apart from a few, Boro is a well loved place!

England seems so dull and boring now but that was to be expected after such an exciting week - already planning my next trip!!

Hope you are both fine and dandy.

Take care

Kelly Very Happy
