buying Ski's in Bansko

Hi All

Off to Bansko on Saturday.......cant wait. Thinking about buying skis out there because everything seems so cheap.

Any one recomend any ski shops, and make / model for an intermeadiate. I ask this because there seems to be a lot of models and makes I have not even heard of?

Any one out there brought any kit from Bansko?

A

when i was out there in january, i saw a shop which was just on the corner near where the taxis stop outside the gondola which looked like it sold good professional equipment, but i didn't actually buy anything so im not able to help with the make/model questions

There are also posts elsewhere on this forum about buying blades v. cheap. I think someone also managed to trade a couple of old UK mobile phones for a pair of blades!

One thing for sure, there are plenty of shops in Bansko selling ski equipment, so you will have plenty of choice

re: buying Ski's in Bansko

Last October i was in bansko I bought a pair of salomon crossmax 10 boots for £109, RRP £250ish for the salomon dealer shop just down from the police station. the boots are really good, so good in fact when I was there last week I bought a pair of salomon 1080's twin tip skis for £175 without bindings which usually retail at £330 without bindings. Also try the rossignol shop and the atomic shop, nxt to the strazshite hotel. There are some real bargins.
