buying a board in bansko?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of buying a snowboard in bansko in feb and was wondering if its much cheaper than the uk? Is it easy to bring one back as i wont have prebooked ski/board carridge for the flight?

Has anyone done it before? any info would be a great help.

thanks
Paul

re: buying a board in bansko?

Hi Paul,

I bought ski's in the Salomon shop in bansko last year. My ski instructor took me to the shop and negotiated a price. I saved a fortune over english prices. Had no problem coming back because the overseas check in staff don't know who has booked ski's in and who has not (found that out from my rep) so I didn't even pay to bring them back!!!

Enjoy Bansko

re: buying a board in bansko?

hey paul,

i got a burton board over there in Jan and saved about 2/3 what it would have cost over here, if you got for a cheaper board again, say bulgarian made, you can get some good bindings like drake and some good boots for half what you'd b likely to pay over here just for the board
