I am thinking about buying a small place in Bansko , hear there is plenty construction goping on. doea abybody think it wil be to crowded in a few years? - or are they planning more runs , lifts?
Think about this if there is a lot of building then you will need a lot of skiers to use the accommodation. Thaits the risk you take. The bonus is the motorway to Greece will be passing by Bansko and Borovets.

We bought an aprtment in Bansko. Yep it will go through all the usual phases - unknown; few Brits venture out; general slagging by the ski magazines and either
a) It remains an unspoilt paradies for a few Brits who can be bothered to venture that far, or
b) It gets full of chavs, ex - pats and becomes the next place to go for a cheap stag night/hen do.
The plus side is that they are all customers if you rent out your property.

The Govt. is putting loads of money into the place. There is a golf course being planned in the future for all year round trade. It is going to be a success in a few years. God love 'em, the Bulgarians are working 7 days a week to make ita success and I support 'em all the way. It's more than our own workforce would do for itself!
There is however a niche in the catering market and for decent brickies out there.
Just got back from buying an apartment in Bansko. According to locals, 2 new gondolas planned. Also 30% expansion of ski area.
We used a bulgarian estate agent and saved over 20,000 euros so shop around. We have bought in the Winter Story Development in the Gramadeto area. Also considered France and Canada but Bulgaria seems to offer the prospect of higher returns.
