wouldn`t even bother buying a board or bindings in any foreign country.if you are not happy with your equipment do you think the shop owner will give you your money back .i think not ,when you get back home and you have a problem; are going to jump on a flight .personally i would hire for this season ,then buy back home in the sales .which usually starts in march and you can get some good bargins.plus some ski shops offer you 70% of your money back on equipment used on holiday .if you are ...

There is a good Rossignol shop in Borovets itself, with soem good bargains, especially if they have any of last years stock left. They are always happy to a deal and you never have a problem taking things back if they're the wrong size / they break. Not sure about refund policies etc at some of the other less well-known shops.

There's a lot of knock offs, especially on the stalls where I would assume it all is. Not sure whether that makes such a difference on items like hats etc
