buying ski boots in borovets

I am in need of upgrading my well worn and out skied boots. I was thinking of waiting till I go to Borovets (last two weeks of jan) are the boots cheaper than here in general or is it easier to buy here, if anyone could help I would appreciate it.

Any inside info on the resort would be great, we are staying in the Samokov.

do yourself a favour and buy here now that way you will get two weeks of wearing them b4 you go also any problems you can take them back at adjusted as youve bought b4 you know how long it takes to get them fitted
the samokov is fine stayed there last year food good plenty hot water etc any more info let us know

Hi Martyn,
Thelma does have a point, but if you do wait until you get there go and see Christo in the White Magic - opp the Samokov hotel he owns the bar and is an ex Bulgarian Champion.
He was selling "Head" boots & skis last year at a good price and he wont sell you anything that is not right or does not fit properly.
Youve chosen one of the best hotels in borrovets, Ive stayed there for the last 8 years and will be there on 22/01/05.

I would have to agree with Thelma also, However if you wait till you get there then you can shop around as there are shops all over the place selling boots and other gear and you will save money as opposed to what you would spend here. I brought my salomon boots in Borovets and checked the price when i got home i saved loads of cash over half in fact.
