HI
is it worth taking the camcorder ? 1st time skiing on 6th sat to boro rila

Hi Kathy

To be honest you probably won't have time to use it whilst you're learning to ski. I took a digital camera with video facility and didn't find much time to use it during the day. Then when I had collected a few pictures, my camera didn't take to kindly to minus 25 and it deleted all my pictures.

Each to their own though, its up to you.

We did take the camcorder and once we learnt to ski we took it with us up the mountains and have got same brilliant footage. We will make sure we take it next year.

If you can be bothered take it!! and make sure your insurance covers it, perhaps others in your ski group could capture your remarkable skiing style

Taking the camcorder this time was the best thing we did Kathy, I wasn't sure cos it was pretty new and I could just see it coming home in pieces. But we got back on Saturday and watched it (both snowboarding and a night out at the White Heart) and we laughed so much! I am so glad we have it to look back on

Take the camcorder, but make sure it is insured properly. We've got some great footage of us mucking about on the slopes, then the bag I was keeping it in fell off a table............it didn't go bang, but it definately isn't going to work again !!!!
