hey evri1 does anyone know if you can choose to learn to ski on snow blades ive booked a learn to ski package with crystal can you learn on snow blades with them?
As far as I've seen none of the schools offer tuition on blades (Canada, Bulgaria and Andorra) whilst it's easy to learn on blades I'd go with the rest and get 5 days of ski lessons and swap onto blades on the final day!
my advice given 14 years in snowsports in the uk and europe would be forget skis, start on blades (easier and more fun), progress to carve skis with a side cut of 6-7 metres, or snowboard instead
I agree with Olly, we took blades out with us to papms over Xmas & had lots of fun, only fell over once & that was cos i hir a patch of ice on the green run, The wife fell over all the time after lunch but i put that down to the fire brandy given freely by Steven in the restaraunt at the top of the 3 man just as you are coming to the end of the 3 man look down to your left & there is great staff & reasonable prices, we were given a 30% discount every day as were have been going there for ...

i wore blades during my ski lessons last year but i could ski before.
i dont think you should learn on them though
As a skiier can easily ski with blades but if you leart on blades, i think you would not be able to use skiis as you would keep getting them tangled!
they are very easy to parrallel on though and to ski backwards
