Off to pamps on the 26th, first time to BG. Took 2 bottles of scot to Tunisia in the summer as the locals are unable to buy it. Does anybody know what the Bulgarians cant get and would like.
mobile phones. guy in my lessons swapped his for a brand new snowboard. obvisouly he didn't have the box or instructions or anything, plus he kept his sim card. think it was a nokia 6230 or thereabouts. obviously you couldn't report it stolen for insurance purposes or it would be blocked, but if you're due for an upgrade... our instructor offered everyone the same deal, didn't seem too fussed on phone type

alcohol is quite pricey in borovets (as it's touristy) but in the towns it's much cheaper (e.g. 20-30% of hotel rila prices - as you'd expect). imported vodka and whiskey were obviously the most expensive but bulgarians didn't seem wanting for anything, not that i noted anyway. but hell if you took whiskey you could always drink it yourself if no-one would buy it!
Yep, take your old mobiles. My mate took two a couple of years ago, and sold them to his instructor on the first day. If my memory serves me correctly, he got 200 lev for them (and they weren't brilliant phones).
So better take mobiles as whisky, because it will be cheaper in Bulgaria as in Scotland. If you wanna take some scotch so take some basic one for present anybody, who helps you.
