carriage of skis

can anyone tell me if you have to pay extra for the carriage of skis n boots on flights or is it included in your allowed weight

Normally pay extra. Inform the airline before hand that you're bringing ski kit as you can be stung for extra if you just turn up with it. Normally between £15 and £25.

We flew with Thompson last year and didn't have to pay. They didn't even weigh our ski/board bags. Very Happy

You'll pay extra with Wizzair, Easyjet and Balkan. I tried to blag it with Wizzair last year, got my boards to sofia no probs but got collared on the way back and had to pay a charge. However it was only he same cost as had I pre booked - but it was a real pain having to queue to check in, get knocked back and pointed to the queue to pay the charge and then queue again for check in Crying

yes most chage. if u have book with a toroperator. they will arange it for u. it is just abit of a pain in the ass haveing to que agen to check ur skiis in. but thats life.
