A good ski in ski out location. I'm told the accommodation is great and good hospitality. It has it's own bar and restaurant that I've been in and it's good, also offers discounts for bods on here.

It's a short taxi drive into the main bit of Pamps for bars restaurants, not really walkable.
Powder Seeking Phil and Arron on here have apartments there and love it.

re: castle
The nearest piste is through the car park, literally 25 yards from the Castle's front door. You can then ski down about 400 yards to a chairlift which will take you up to one of the two main ski centres and from there to the top of the mountain if you wish.
There are some goats in a pen behind the car park, if you have kids (or are a fan of goats yourself !). Don't know if they will be there in the winter however.
At the end of the day, you can ski back to the start point as well. ...

At the end of the day, you can ski back to the start point as well. Pass by the lift you got off of first thing in the morning, cross a track and ski down to the Castle.
