you can and no not especially, if youve got any sense, go downstairs to the ski storage and head out of the door to the outside, there on your right is a bank, much better than the reception for changing cash!!re: change money in the samokov
when does the bank open and when does it close.do their ask for your passport to change money.cheers

The 'Change Plus' / 'Change +' booths gave the advertised rate when I was there. The Inghams rep said avoid the exchange booths just called 'Change'. Check carefully which one you use if at all because there was at least 4/5 Change/Change Plus booths on the same street on the right hand side of the Samokov hotel.
From memory the cash machines made a surcharge of about 2 or 3 pound something per transaction for my debit card. There was one in the Ela hotel entrance, ...

something like 9.30 to 4pm ive never had to use a passport for cash, but you might have to for travellers cheques.
