change of airport

can anyone help? off to pamps on 2nd Feb and recieved letter today from balkan to say instead of flying to Plovdiv will fly into Sofia airport. does anyone know how long transfer time is to Pamps?

it may be about 1 1/2 - 2 longer, it seems balkan are a bugger for rearranging flights?!
on the bright side, you'l see one of the worst areas of sofia as you leave the airport!

Going to pamps 23-2-08,was also flying into Plodiv,now Balkan have changed it to Sofia,also every year i book the 2-15 flight from Gatwick to Sofia.(for borovets) and every year they change it to the 10-30 scheduled flight,it makes me wonder why they offer the other flights in the first place Rigs

if you have to land in sofia ask if you can go to borovets instead, at the moment the snow is better and transfers about 1-1 1/2 hrs

thanks both, am traveling with party of 16 so will have to see what they say. third time flying with balkan and everytime they have changed the times!so glad to be going so will no doubt put up with changes!

Transfer from Sofia to Pamporovo is 4 hours with a 30 minute break at McDonalds just outside of Plovdiv.

you can see if your group will change resort if they will ask balken, if balken wont change you will have to just put up with it, might be worth looking at a different tour group next year, Balken seem to get away with this all the time and its really time they were stopped and gave the correct flights in the first place.
