Hi can anyone tell me how much is the rate to change money from euros to bulgarian money pls??and they accept euros in bar etc ??

Zdasti Natasha,One Euro is 1,9558 Leva (fixed). But you will get some 1,90 at a bank. They accept cash money or cards (EC or VISA). Never change in the street and always have a look at the signs inside or ask how much you get for your EUROS.

The leva is locked to the euro at 1.96 and the bars take leva as payment. if they do accept euro then expect a poor rate of exchange.

Hi,There is a bank opposite / uphill the gondola or better change in Samokov center. If possible have a short stop while transfering or take the minibus to Samokov. Maybe you can change some EUROS at the hotel or airport (1,60 Levs !!!), but not more than 20,00.

Hi Natasha,There are some change booths in Borovets that we used last year, they have a crown symbol on them, they are fine to change Euros to Lev. Only use the ones with the Crown on the top though, hope to see you there!!!!
