Chepalare is great for the intermediate/advanced skiers as they boast the longest red/black runs in Bulgaria and it is home to their Olympic Biathlon Gold Medalist Ekaterina Davoska. It is also frequently used by the national team and is home to many of the instructors who teach in Pamporovo.
There is also a long green run around the side of the mountain, but it is easy to get lost, so do NOT try this unless you are with someone who knows the area.

Just 1 two-man chairlift takes you from the bottom to the top which is quite a long ride but well worth it if you are an accomplished skier.
Chepalare is situated just 15 minutes by car from Pamporovo.
hi, Chepelare is a small town and the hotels there are lot cheaper than pamporovo as well as the food and drinks(hot drink 0.20- 0.50 GBP). It is 10 km. away from Pamporovo so you can stay in Chepelare and ski in Pamp or Chep. This year the lift pass is 40GBP for 6 days to ski in Chep. I have seen the hotels you can see some of them in this web site and book them too.
