children

i found it hard with worrying about the children as we took my children with us to borovets this year in Jan and though they were in a small class (both in same class of about 10) for ski-ing i kept finding my son sat down outside the Rila as he couldnt do it and needed bit of extra help and the teacher couldnt give him that help and my daughter got on really well until the same teacher lost her the first time they went up in the chairlift to come down the mountain, so she was alone & hurt ...

I dont think her teacher thought that telling me she had got lost was worth it as she never mentioned it to me until the next day when after my daughter had told me i asked her about it???!!

this has put both my children off skiing tho we are going back in fe 06 but they say they wont ski and will wait till they are old enough to have snowboard tution and then join us boarding

re: children

Are you going back to Borovets or are you going somewhere else?

re: children

we are going back to borovets
we love it and apart from that the kids love it to
they want to go ice skating etc and play in the snow while we board, prntr annoyingly has never needed lessons so they wait in a specific place and meet up with him and they meet us for lunch and a morning break and afternoon break plus we have friends in borovets who they play with and chat with

they want to try boarding and we might be able to arrange lessons for them in feb 06 which they have ...

they want to try boarding and we might be able to arrange lessons for them in feb 06 which they have their fingers crossed about otherwise as i said they already have plans of what they are going to do, they are great kids and this year was the first time they had seen so much snow even tho it wasnt that great for ski-ing /borading to the kids it was amazing plus we went for a day trip to sofialand etc and will do the same again when we return.

my daughter might- once we are there- change her mind and ski on the slope outside the rila as she can do that and can handle the drag lift, she was doing well

re: children

If you haven't booked already, it might be worth booking through Inghams and you can at least use their nanny service which has English nannies - not sure what age they will take the kids up to though. Might be worth enquiring

re: children

We went to borovets this year, luckily my kids got on brilliantly and can't wait to ski next year, but dont want to go to ski school - wer'e going to get private lessons (Chris - from White Magic has his own ski school) for them for the first couple of days - about £10 each for two hours apparantly you come on really quickly with private lessons - why don't you try this for your kids. - also maybe dryslope lessons before you go for confidence.
