Bev, you are a rude person with not enough worries in the world. Have you tried going somewhere else for a holiday, Bulgaria would be better off without whingers like you
Edit
Oh dear Mr John Jeffrey is posting from yet another name abusing posters people. This time folks he has left his email open. Now if you would all like to tell him what a silly little boy he his for trying to ruin this forum be my guest.
I am struggling to see what Bev said that could be considered "rude". She was only trying to help other people. But perhaps she would save money if she stopped smoking!
Christine - It was the very abrupt 'nonsense' response that was given to my perfectly reasonable explanation to the problem that she had experienced that was rude (or do you not agree?) Sparky
same happened to me, at the shop situated at the flora. I asked why the assisstant was charging me 33leva for a carton of cigs when they were marked on the shelf 3.1 leva.(i.e. 31leva for 10)
The girl explained that thet were the last of cigs at that price, she then opened a new carton whith the gov seal stating the new price. This IS correct, and i got a reciept no problem

yes i totally agree but on both sides. we visited Bansko in December - 4th time in approx 3 year period. we arrived in 2006 and we laughed every time we bought something or had a bill as it was so cheap and totally unbelievable. i agree that the resort must open up their potential for profit margins but i do see a steer towards a rip off attitude from within the Bankso i stayed in last December. we found we were totally on our guard by the end of our week, something we've never really ...
yes i totally agree but on both sides. we visited Bansko in December - 4th time in approx 3 year period. we arrived in 2006 and we laughed every time we bought something or had a bill as it was so cheap and totally unbelievable. i agree that the resort must open up their potential for profit margins but i do see a steer towards a rip off attitude from within the Bankso i stayed in last December. we found we were totally on our guard by the end of our week, something we've never really had to do during previous visits. its inevitable though and its not that the locals are all out to rip off the british its more a case of (i think) individual local tradesmen moving in and monopolising the retail framework the resort has built up already. theres no getting away from it and when Bulgaria ski resorts become "Euro Savvy" and decide to hike up the prices to the french and Swiss benchmark i guess thats when we will be opting out and staying nearer to the uk, more flights and more vast ski runs. thats the bottom line - its all about what the place has to offer in terms of a challenging ski environment im afraid and if Bulgaria overlooks then im sure im not going to be the first to think its going to be a massive mistake.
its a shame. the people are nice and the place has potential
Bulgaria is now part of the EEC as we all know. When trading within the EEC most of their transactions will be conducted with costs based on the Euro and as the Lev is now firmly linked with the Euro, in order for the country to prosper you will find more and more prices rising in readiness to adopt the Euro within the next 4 years, and possibly sooner.
I'm afraid the days of 'cheap as chips' in Bulgaria has gone forever now and we need to get used to paying prices that we would expect to ...
