just getting our money exchanged for the lev....... any idea anyone if it worth changing it out there at the hotels cos the rate is not too good at the moment here in the uk. also is the beer cheep there :-) let it snow, let it snow, let it snow............ fingers crossedre: cost of booze

u probably get about 10-15% more lev out there . but take bank of england notes good crisp new onesre: cost of booze

Can be just as much if you use the tourist or mountain bars!Find a local bulgarian place and get to know people by being friendly and trying to join in and you'll drink very cheaply!!!

Beer in the Town ranges from 0.8 lev up to 3 lev with most in the 1.5-2.5lev range.
I tend to go for the prininski beer its much cheaper and very very local to Bansko normally I pay 0.8-1.5 lev for a 500ml beer of that stuff.
If you go for Stella sure 5 lev for you - just like any resort where its imported.
If youhave a beer on the slopes it will be 5 lev 500ml which is a fair price IMHO go to the dolomites and it is 6 Euros min in the town while up the mountain it gets scary 9/12 ...
