costs?

hi there, im booked to go to borovets snowboarding on the 23 feb 08. me and 5 friends are staying at the flora residence hotel. can any one tell me what the food and drink prices are like in borovets please. we are b+b so will need dinner, tea and lots of drinks. just so i know roughly how much money to take.

Down in the village of Borovets everything is cheap as chips, Beers and other such beverages can be purchased for 1 lev (30 british pence) and meals are ridiculously cheap as well. It seems the older the pub the cheaper it is. However this year (i live in Bansko) it seems prices ARE beginning to creep up due to the new european union status no doubt and i think that we may also find skiing safety precautions may be changing as well.

Have been to Borovets many times and its great. A good place to eat is Sunnys, , its next door to the Ella Hotel, food is fantastic and staff very friendly. Across the road from Sunnys is Happy duck, good food and live music, great night out. Prices are reasonable, drinks cheap, hope ypu have a fantastic holiday.

Unless you go really mad you should be ok on a max of 100 lev per day for food and drink which is about £35.
That gives you about 10 pints and 2 good meals per day but if you watch where you go you can do it for a lot less.
Going to bansko myself this year but have been to boro 6 times and always had a good time. Call in to the White Magic and see Christo and Janet and you will be made welcome.

We are due to visit the Flora apartments/hotel on the 1 march 08, does anyone know if the food has improved this year and is the good place to stop? Also are the night slopes working this year and if so how much is it? What is the average price for a beer there I visited Borovets 3 years ago and it was about 50 pence a pint? Do they still use the Lev or are you better to take the pound or Euro. Many thank if you can feed back any answers.
