couple more questions

Sorry - a couple more questions, just about ready to go for it!
1) Is it definately better to book a "Learn to Ski" package with the tour operator? And what about lift passes, what is the rough cost for pay as u go for the non-skiers in the family?
2) What are the licencing laws like - my 17 year old wants to know if he can get "slaughtered". Cost of drink?

book skiing with tour company, lift passes are cheaper pre booked.
booze is cheap. go to chepelare and the booze is that cheap in the shops they pay you to take it !!

Whatever anyone else may tell you, DEFINATELY book all your ski requirements BEFORE YOU GO. Otherwise, in resort you will pay more for your lift pass than the entire package costs back home.

A one day lift pass will cost 46 leva (approx. 15 quid.) based on 2004 prices.

Drinks are so cheap he will get hammered for under a tenner. The drinking laws are almost non-existant and he will be served in all bars without any problems.

The legal age for drinking is 16 in Bulgaria - my 16 nephew was absolutely delighted when I imparted this little bit of info to him on his first skiing holiday this year, much to the chagrin of his parents!!!
