Is it better to bring travellers cheques or hard cash? I'm sure i've read an earlier post saying i'll be stung on commission on the cheques but i'm a bit uneasy about having all my holiday beer tokens on me. Any advice??

you'll have to find me within the first three days pal, cos after that i'll have no doubt done my usual holiday trick and been mugged by the beer fairy!

Last year we were advised by all that we should take stirling - much stronger out there than anything else. Most hotels have safes that you can use to put in your valuables and Passports as they recommend that you leave nothing of any value in your room.
We used the safe in our hotel - not at all inconvenient as they were suituated near the entrance so you never had to go out of your way if you needed anything.

As stated before, you can get lev at the high street travel agents and it is best to take some with you for 1st day purchases.
Sterling is welcomed and the exchange rate is better than travellers cheques.
Cash points are in most hotel receptions and are easy to use.

In short, take some levs, take some sterling and use your card to top up as required.
