currency

hi im goin skiing to bulgaria next year..and was wondering about the currency its currenlt lEV but as Bulgaria recently joined the Eu will it be cahnged to euro by next year????? is euro accepted in bulgaria at the minute??

Bulgaria has no plans to change to the Euro until at least 2009.

Whilst Euros are accepted in some places, Sterling and Levs still remain the best options to take.

hi carolline, we have been to bulgaria for the last 5 years and found that the euro will not be in til around 2009 aleast. so we have been told. the best bet is to use english money and change in resort, not on the street ( well dodgy). dont know where you are skiing but we do borovets and use the hotel samokov, the bank in the basement nest to the ski school does a FANTASTIC RATE and beats hands down any other exchange place. if you require any other info please just ask
