just wondered if anybody could tell me what the currency is for bulgaria as it is my first time goin this xmas and i am totally clueless Very Happy , and can anybody give me any tips about pamporovo thanks

It's the Leva....

Pamp's is a ok went on my first ski trip to bulgaria,lot's see and do great food and vaery vaery cheap to eat and drink out...

Have a look through this web site and there are plenty of tip's..

Currency is the lev. Take good clean english money to change out there and you will get a better rate of exchange

I take it that Bulgaria have no plans as yet to take on the euro as there currency?

The Bulgarian National Bank says it is not expected to change before 2010 at the very earliest.

Bulgarian euro coins have not yet been designed. They will replace the current national currency of Bulgaria, the lev, once the convergence criteria are fulfilled. Bulgaria aims to join the euro zone as soon as possible. The current target date is 1 January 2010 This is possible because Bulgaria has been under a currency board system since 1997.

Take UK sterling, clean £20 notes, no rips, no pen marks etc. Most hotels will exchange at a rate better than you will get in the UK, good shout dbut, not trying to steal your thunder, just expanding it slightly...
