what are the chances of Sofia Airport being closed due to snow and the plane being re-directed to Varna or Burgas,
if this does happen what do you do if you have arranged a private transfer.
im now praying for the snow to stop in Sofia.

Nightmare scenario, fingers crossed for you. We met some people today who told us that last year Plovdiv was fog bound and they were redirected to Thessalonika in Greece and then had a 12 hour coach transfer to Bansko, they said those passengers who had arranged private transfers from Plvdiv were stuffed!. When their week was over they were flying back from Sofia, guess what, yep, fog bound and after near mutiny they were put up in a hotel overnight. Happy to report they are back in Bansko now
