re: dodgy knee

should be no problem, as long as you can get to lift in first place! (and have lift pass). Lots of people go to top just for view / scenery. In fact, we have spent many a time at top of lifts just watching beginners try to dismount lifts for first time with skis on. Enjoy!

ps don't forget hip flask!

re: dodgy knee

I was in Boro a few weeks ago & they would not let us get on the chair lifts without skis Crying I can see their point as you would have major probs getting opff at the top Mad

re: dodgy knee

You'll be ok on the 6 man lift right up to the highest point of the mountain, dont need skis on that one.
Rather a pleasant view at the top, cafe with indoor & outdoor seating - well recommended.
We're off at 12 Noon
Waaaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooooo!!!

re: dodgy knee

In Bansko we went to the top of the lifts with our instructor (without skis). We had to run off at the top but it was OK... the lift people weren't happy but because we were with our instructor they didn't fuss. The view from the top was amazing! Coming back down was slightly more tricky but worth it for the looks of bemusement we got from other lift-riders who couldn't understand why these people were on the lifts without skiis. Very Happy
