hiit will be my first time skiing this jan , and with the doller being at $1.94,will it be worth taking dollers inplace of pounds,and how do you work it out?

No, the £ is stronger than the $ in Bulgaria and is much more widely acceptable.PP

Take sterling dont know about Dollar being much more acceptable never had anyone turn away my pounds before. Also the dollar continues to slide and you will find yourself in a muddle trying to convert lev to dollar then to pounds!re: doller ?
The $ is weak right nowyour £ will buy a lot more $ than in the past

your $ should then buy fewer Levs

Just take £'s unless you've got dollars/euros left from a previous trip.
You going to get charged for changing £'s into $/Euros (can't get the euro symbol to work). You'll then get charged for changing foreign stuff into Levs. Why pay commission twice. The only way to win would be if you changed up a load of $ and then the $ became stronger against the Euro. The Lev is pegged at 0.51 Euros to the Lev so as the dollar falls against the Euro it also falls against the Lev.

One word of advice. The Bureau de Change’s run a nice little marketing scam. The rate they advertise in the street is the rate for buying Levs. They’ll quote something like 2.90 Levs to the £. When you hand over your £’s they’ll mumble that the sell rate is 2.75. If you’re brave enough to go back and complain the six foot ten assistant gently explains your error!
