Going to Borovets this Saturday (18th).
16 of us in our group - mainly 1st timers.
I went skiing 20 years ago - weekend in Aviemore, not sure if this counts.
What I do remember is that I had real problems with the drag lifts - all types. I kept falling off them and upsetting lots of people who were following behind me.
Question:
Can I get a chair lift to the nursery slopes - if not -any tips on how not to fall off the drags?

It doesnt bother me looking a fool but I dont want to spoil other peoples fun by having them all pile on top of me everytime I use a drag lift.
Maybe I should just stay in the bar - HIC !!!
For the first bit, you'll be side stepping up the slopes - after that, yes, you'll be using the drag lifts, but lean into the pole and make sure you hang on for dear life.
When you get to the other end, release the button from under your bum and keep holding on - ski out so you are parrallel on the slope and then let go. Works for me.
hi there 28 of us flying out of manchester on sat staying at the Samokov in Borovets mixture of experienced skiers, kids and complete beginners, really looking forward to it, see you all there!
