duty free allowance

Now that Bulgaria is in the EU can we still get duty free at gatwick or do we have to wait until we get to Bulgaria. If so does anybody know where to buy decent cigs.

Karen,

Just back from Borovets. Now that they are in the EU you cannot buy Duty Free, but the cigs and drink from the supermarkets is pretty cheap. The local cigs (Victory -blue is regular and silver mild) are only a pound a packet. Marlborough are about £1.70. Just as well the drink was cheap, because the snow conditions were crap. Should improve though.
