food is fantastic in all the resturants very cheap as well, there is one right on the edge as you go into bansko about a twenty min walk from the gondlas, dont know the name of it but has a big green tuborg sign outside that is lite up at night, the lamb there is fantastic, the golden fox is good for pizza, but honest never had a bad meal and most of the locals will help you out. re: eating & drinking in Bansko

we stayed at the Monastery Appts last year.

Neilson billed it as 4 *... my ar$e... 2* more like it. While the rooms are fine, there were no facilities, no cleaning. No TV. I Think they had only just been finished (mid Feb). The chap they had on the door had no idea what was going on. These are appartments which are let out, not your normal self-catering holiday. But as long as you know this I'm sure they will be fine.

We were very dissapointed.

We stayed at the Strazhite the year before. The hotel was good but the food was bad. I thought I couldn't face hotel food again. But after last year it's the Grand Arena at the end on Feb for me, with lots of snow I hope.

But the food in town is great, very cheap & the staff are top. If anyone is in a hotel with poor food, don't hesitate to eat out it's not worth ruining your holiday.
