re: eating out in Bansco?

Charis, there are reportedly 350 mehanas in Bansko, ok, you would not see them all as anywhere that sells food and drink could be considered a mehana...
If your looking for the best, you will not go wrong at the `Bariakova', 2nd cobbled street past the old church on Pirin Street... Very traditional, great food and prices...
If you would consider touristy bars, then the `Friendly' under the Fortuna, or the `Irish Pub', both of which will cook up pizzas, burgers etc...
There are loads, none ...

There are loads, none of which are that bad, but some will, lets say, be a little unrealistic on price, check the menu, if it seems expensive, move on... they will get the message eventually Wink

I will agee with steve Bariakova is my favourite restuarant. But there are lots of other nice ones, a little further down on the left, set back is what the sign calls a Pizza restuarant, maybe called Zanthe. It is down a few steps. But is does more than Pizza, The food is good and the prices very inexpensive.

re: eating out in Bansco?

there are loads of lovely mehanas in town, too many to mention but if you fancy something more modern, we went last year to the Victoria a few times during the season. a nice italian, good atmosphere, great food and not expensie at all....slightly higher up the main road from the kempinski.depending on what time of year you go, worth booking in advance as it gets really busy
