We have been to Borovets this week for the last 2 seasons. For a variety of reasons we have not gone this year - mostly due to the cost of having to go in half term. I work at a school so cannot be flexible. The prices have increased drastically particularly for this season. Just as well we haven't gone as I have not really been well since October and I've now got sinusitis!! One thing after another!!

We're neither this year.

We love Bororvets and it's people and have made friends with our ski instructor Krassi who has visited us the last 2 summers. I enjoy helping on other visitors to Borovets which is why I still participate in the discussion board even though we aren't going.
Is it your first time to BG Bob or have you been before.
No not our first time we went as a rather large group (25) in 97 98 and 99. However peoples work and domestic circumstances change and the driving force behind it kind of fell away. Since then have had to do with skiing at home in Scotland. This year we are returning to celebrate one of the original groups 40th birthday. He had been talking about going skiing on his birthday and had come up with a few ideas himself, all the time we along with his wife wre scheming this holiday. It was getting a bit difficult to keep the secret so she told him on christmas day. Since then he has been like an over excited child. I would like to say that we are older and wiser but...........I think there will still be headaches etc in the morning.
Like you we made many friends in Bulgaria, Pamporovo, previously and hopefully we may catch with some of them this time.
I can sympathise with your only getting the school holidays, my wife works in education and has the same problem. So its just me and the guys.
Hope your snuses get better i've had that in the past, about a week before I was due to fly down to the south of England but the doc sorted me out with some pretty hefty anti biotics, cleared everything!!
Keep the chin up, just for your info it would appear that the russians are about to look at developing some of their ski areas for tourists and that pricing will be very competitive early doors.
Thanks for the info - Russia sounds interesting doesn't it!!
I was 40 last summer so that was our excuse for going back last year! The previous year I surprised Simon on Christmas day with our ski holiday for Feb Half Term. I'd managed to keep it from him but everyone else he tried to tell already knew!!
Enjoy the skiing - it sounds like conditions are good at present.
