Hi Gang,

I have been to borovets in January a couple of times. The last one was in 2009 and I am looking at organising a trip for my friends stag do. There will be about 8 of us and because some of them are in the military we sadly only have set dates we can go.

The earliest we can go is 24th March and I would really like to book it but would be interested to read what you all think about the conditions in March?

I have read a few posts on here which say that it has been quite good and others saying there is nothing but grass. Historically, is there at least some runs open or is it just no go?

Any information would really be appreciated. A lot of pressure on the best man here!!!

Im lookignt o do a stag do oat the end of march aswell mate, but my advcie would be to go to bansko as it is more snowsure, to be honest the first two weeks of march are usually just about the best skiing for the year, but then it is usually a downhill slope fro mthere as the temps rise considerably, btut to be honest you should be fien to ski at least at the top. notoriously borovets shuts mid april, whilst bansko end of april... The problem is alot of people are negative on here as the last couple of eyars havent been great!!

If its any help, we had best skiing hol ever in Boro beginning of April about 3 years ago.

But most of the bars were closed or very quiet. We're going out on a package hol 2nd week March and after that think it will be very quiet!

If you could all get to Boro before then would be ok, but just a bit worried you might be partying on your own. BUT havin said that.....the amount of snow the resort has had this weekend will be a fab base so the season could last longer!

I think you also need to ask when then the gondola and lifts close for end of season?
