end of session

can any one tell me with certainly, what is the last date the ski lifts are open to. Many travel companies only go up to 17th march 2007.

There is no definative date Steve, they stay open until the snow is gone. There have been years that skiing has been possible well into May but to extend holidays past mid March would be too big a gamble for tour operators to take.

Hi Pete. thanks for the quick reply.
Our friend have just brought an appartment in Bansko, and where thinking of taking us there on the 9th of April. I know that most resorts have fixed dates for open and closing. Do you know what these are in Bansko, or where I can find this info. Google has failed.

As I said Steve, Bansko will remain open as long as there are skiers there and snow to ski on.

Balkan run flights up until 30th March but my gut feeling would be that skiing would almost certainly be available on 9th April.

Skiing was available on 9th April last winter, the majority of lifts were open.

You will also have a very quiet mountain to ski on!
